Undertow: Grief for a Changing World
A downloadable comic
This is what it's like under the water. Or, at least, here are some comics about the stress of anxiety combined with awareness of climate change and other horrors fresh from the daily news.
We have known climate change has been real and happening for years--no, decades. In the early 2000's, we knew what Hurricane Katrina and glacier melt meant. My worry since then was the result of paying attention, but my panic is the result of being overwhelmed with what is beyond my control.
This collection of comics and illustrations chronicles my continued fight for mental health over the past few years. This is not a collection of answers, but catharsis. I still feel like I'm under water, but I know I'm not alone here. Unfortunately, you're here, too.
