How to Repair Creation: Despair and Activism
A downloadable comic
Collected comics and illustrations about my own fumbling attempts at activism and being a better person during a strange and depressing time in U.S. history.
Among Jewish people, there is the idea of performing tikkun olam, acts that better or repair the world. It is believed among Orthodox Jews that to repair Creation will hasten the coming of the Messiah or the Messianic Age. Because much of Judaism does not focus on a solid concept of the afterlife, tikkun olam can also be seen as a means to better society as a legacy, gaining a kind of "immortality" by living through the deeds one leaves behind.
